Lead designer of the North Quays development says residents disappointed over the plan should get involved.

One of the Architects for the Saudi backed plans for the area says residents plan should get involved with the project.

Saudi firm Al Hokair is set to invest 300 million euro into the City Centre and North Quays, however Government funding is needed for the necessary infastructure in the area.

Many residents and business people were left frustrated after Waterford Council produced a compulsory purchase order on almost 80 plots of land.

Niall Harrington, says it's important for residents and business people at the North Quays to see the "bigger picture".

Mr Harrington says Waterford Council included several initiatives in the plan that would bring the residents onside.
