Local artists can now avail of a collaborative space to carry out their work.
The Waterford Arts Centre, located on New Street, has had its official opening.
The venture is the brainchild of Stephen Butler from Labyrinth Management and he acquired the building from Waterford Council.
Artists can rent a space for 20 euro a week, which covers rent, electricity and internet.
9 people are already using the building, and there’s space for three more – anyone interested can call into the centre on New Street.
Stephen says he wants to create jobs and help artists to sell their work.
Metropolitan Mayor Sean Reinhardt, who was on hand for the official opening, congratulated Stephen Butler on bringing it all together.
