Waterford City Fire Service was tasked to put out a fire in the People's Park in the City last night.
A number of timber stakes around the skate park had been broken down, piled against other stakes and set alight.
Gardai alerted the fire service who promptly put out the fire.
However, it's expected that area of the park will be now closed for a period of time.
