Distressed mortgage holders in Waterford are engaging with Personal Insolvency Practitioners at over three times the national average rate.
Figures from the Insolvency Association of Ireland show that between 2014 and the first quarter of this year, there were almost 300 debt solutions approved by PIPs in the County.
The statistics show that Waterford had both the highest total amount of debt solutions approved, and the highest amount of non-bankruptcy solutions per capita in the country.

He says there are ever increasing protections available to people in debt and people should not panic if they receive heavy handed letters from their bank.
