At the beginning of the summer, during a visit to the Waterford Camogie camp at St Saviour’s GAA club, Waterford’s Austin Gleeson was interviewed by a number of young hurling fans, as well as WLR’s Liz Reddy.
While Austin is well used to Liz asking the tough questions, this time, it wasn’t the WLR reporter’s questions that he was confounded by; the All-Star hurler of the year was instead put through his paces by well-prepared school-goers.
Some of the questions posed to Gleeson included; who is your favourite player on the Waterford team? What team annoys you so much? What team do you enjoy playing against the most? And which county would you like to play for if you weren’t from Waterford?
