There has been an upswing in business growth in Waterford this year, according to the local enterprise office.
The Waterford LEO offers supports to those starting enterprises, or small business owners who wish to expand or need help in certain areas.
It delivers a wide range of business training programmes across the city and the county.
Some of the courses on offer this autumn include starting your own business, an introduction to franchising, product merchandising, book-keeping, and social media training.
Jacqui Gaule, senior enterprise development officer with LEO says there has been a noticeable increase in people wishing to starting their own business:
“The last six months in particular in Waterford we’ve noticed that business that made it through the bad times are now looking at growing. Money is being invested .. and businesses are starting up in Waterford, we are a lot busier.”
