Councillor says trucks driving through Dungarvan Centre will lead to the pavements crumbling.

A Waterford Councillor wants measures taken to prevent trucks driving through Dungarvan Town Centre at night.

Fine Gaels Damien Geoghan says something needs to be done:

He says articulated trucks are driving through Dungarvan at night and in the early hours of the morning to avoid the amount of roundabouts on the bypass route.

He says they are being driven through Dungarvan Centre  at 3, 4, and 5am in the morning and it is causing problems for residents and potential damage to infastructure.

He says it's a matter for the Gardai and the Council, but it must be dealt with so that the pavements in the town are not damaged.
