With storm Ophelia raging through the country this afternoon, Waterford Council has compiled a list of locations where Waterford residents can avail of sand bags to protect their homes from from flooding.
Locations for sandbags:
Waterford city - outside the Carrickphierish depot
Waterford city - outside the Carrickphierish depot
Tramore - carpark opposite Majestic Hotel
Dunmore East - outside main entrance gate of public park on Dock Road
Dungarvan - machinery yard
Ardmore - Ardmore depot
Carrick-on-Suir - Curraghduff depot
Ballymacarby depot
Leamybrien depot
Passage East community centre

Meanwhile, in Tramore, Moes Cafe has been boarding up their windows and surrounding their premises with sand bags to protect from Storm Ophelia.
