As of Thursday morning, approximately 5,000 homes and business around Co Waterford are still without power, while over 2,500 customers are without water.
A convoy of 32 electricity vehicles arrived in to Waterford from Wales overnight with 37 network technicians on board to assist local ESB crews.
The Welsh crews were inducted early this morning in Dungarvan and will be out and about in the west of the County today.
Yesterday the ESB restored power to around 5,000 customers around the county, and they expect to make further inroads to the remaining 5,000 or so without power today.
However, not all customers will be back on the grid today.
Irish Water say a generator has been installed in Tallow which is pumping water from the bore hole to the reservoir.
Households in the area will see their supply return over the course of the day as the reservoir fills up.
The tanker which was put in place there yesterday will also remain for most of the day.
Meanwhile work is continuing in the other areas still without supply affecting around 2,000 customers .
Tankers and standpipes are also in those areas to give communities access to water.
They include Rathgormack, Touraneena, Aglish, Carrigeen, Kilbrien, Kilmac, Tallow, Strancalley, Ballycurrane and Stradbally.
