Gardai in Waterford are waiting for the results of a post mortem which will be carried out
today on the body of a man found in a house in Waterford City.
The remains of the man, who was in his thirties, were found at lunchtime yesterday at a house in Appian Close, in the Ardkeen area.
After an initial examination the body was removed to University Hospital Waterford.
Gardaí investigating the discovery say they’ll wait until they get the results of the post mortem before declaring if the death is suspicious.
Gardaí have said they believe the man may have been a foreign national.
The area surrounding the house has been preserved, pending a full forensic examination by members of the Garda Technical Bureau.
