A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after her car crashed into a garda patrol vehicle in Waterford city in the early hours of this morning.
The incident happened at 2.10am at Gracedieu in the city.
The woman's car overturned and went on fire on impact.
Emergency services cut the woman out of her vehicle and brought her to University Hospital Waterford.
It's understood the woman, who's in her early 30s and from the area, is in a serious condition.
No gardai were injured in the incident.
The scene has been preserved for a forensic investigation.
