As people celebrate in the lead up to Halloween tomorrow, gardai are warning the combination of children, fireworks and alcohol can make for dangerous situations.
Crime prevention officer with Waterford Gardai is Brendan Roche:
He says the main message is that they are dangerous, and possession of fireworks is an offence and you could be liable to prosecution.
Garda Roche advises parents to know where their children are at all times. He says parents should accompany younger children if they are trick or treating.
