McClean re-signs for Waterford FC ahead of Airtricity League Premier Division return

The Derryman has become a firm favourite at the RSC since signing for the Blues.

The 20-year-old scored twice last season, against UCD in Belfield and against title rivals Cobh, when he headed the match winner at the RSC.

He missed the final few games of the season through injury, undergoing an operation on a troublesome shoulder injury that he suffered prior to the mid-season break.

Comfortable at either centre-back or left-back, McClean endeared himself to the supporters with a string of passionate and committed displays on the field.

Waterford Coach Alan Reynolds says he's exactly the type of player the club want.

"He's a crowd favourite, they love him here and he loves it," he says, "the style of play he has and the passion he shows is great to see."

Meanwhile club have also announced details of their season ticket packages for next year.

Prices will range from just €75 up to €335 for individuals who wish to reserve their own personal seat and gain free admission to all underage games.

A special early bird offer is in place until the 1st Decemberc which offers a 10% discount.
