Ardmore qualify for Munster Junior Hurling Championship Club Final

Ardmore are through to the Munster Club Junior hurling Championship Final after scoring a comprehensive victory over Clare side Bodkye at the WIT Arena this afternoon.

Playing with the aid of the breeze in the opening half, the Waterford champions started at a blistering pace and held a commanding 4-13 to 0-3 advantage at half-time.

The Clare champions did offer more of a challenge in the second period but it was a one sided contest.

Ardmore hit scores at ease with the Gartland brothers, John and David along with Seamus Prendergast and Minor player James Flaving catching the eye up front.

It finished Ardmore 5-22 Bodyke 1-8.

Ardmore captain Declan Prendergast said they were expecting a stiffer test.

They will now face Ballybacon Grange of Tipperary in the Munster Final, which will be played in Mallow December 3rd.

Also this afternoon, Sliabh gCua were crowned the Co. Junior A Football Champions after a 1-13 to 1-11 victory over Ballyduff Lower in Fraher Field.

Mike Kearns netted the goal for the Western champions who held a 1-6 to 1-1 lead at the break, Jack Lyons raised a green flag for Ballyduff.

The Eastern champions were reduced to fourteen men when John O' Leary was dismissed on a second yellow card at the end of the first half.

The second half was tight and tense but in the end it was Slaibh gCua who held out for a hard fought two point win.
