The biggest boxing event ever held in Waterford has been confirmed for next February.

Waterford professional Craig McCarthy who has won his first two bouts since joining the paid ranks will have his third fight in the WIT Arena.

Craig defeated Michael Caich from Poland in the City West Hotel on Friday last.

His next fight will be held in his home City on the 17th of February.

Craig says it will be the first professional boxing show ever staged in Waterford .

He will be the main event and he's hoping it will sell out.

There will be six to eight fights on the card.
