They have received reports from the public regarding bogus phone calls claiming to be from financial institutions seeking personal information.
Gardai wish to advise the public that no genuine bank, financial institution or company will seek information over the phone or by email.
They say you should not entertain such phone calls and report any suspicious activity to the Gardai.
