Vikings star, Moe Dunford will unveil The Viking Sword in Baileys New Street in Waterford on Friday week the 22nd of December.
It’s the longest wooden sword sculpture in the world and was created by John Hayes and James Doyle from Special Branch Carvings
The 23 metre carving is now in place at it’s new home in the heart of the Viking Triangle in Waterford City.
It was first unveiled at the Ploughing Championships. At that time The Norwegian ambassador to Ireland said the sword would form part of a new Viking Festival in Waterford next Easter.
The unveiling by Dungarvan actor Moe Dunford will take place on Friday December 22nd at 4.30pm at Baileys New Street.
