Two men have appeared before Dungarvan District Court this morning (Wednesday) charged in connection with a spate of burglaries at sports facilites in recent weeks.
One man is in his 20s while the other is in his 30s. They were arrested in County Waterford and County Wexford yesterday.
Four searches were carried out and property was also recovered from some of the burglaries during the garda operation.
The men were released on bail with strict conditions to appear again in Dungarvan on March 14th
Detective Sergeant Shay Keevans, is from Tramore Garda Station. He says the two men were charged in relation to “all six burglaries at GAA Clubs in Fenor, Dunhill, Bunmahon, Kilrossanty, Cappoquin and Shamrock Knockanore”. He added that “they were also charged in relation to a burglary at a soccer club, three commercial premises and a private residence”.
