Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan has died aged 46

Details of the 46-year-old’s death are as yet unknown and that The Cranberries front woman passed away in London

A native of Ballybricken Dolores O’Riordan rose to fame in the early 1990's and went on to sell over 40 million records worldwide.

The Limerick group were one of the most successful bands of the ‘90's with worldwide hits including 'Zombie', 'Linger' and 'Dreams.'

Speaking to the 'Limerick Leader' Fr James Walton, priest in Dolores’ home parish of Ballybricken, expressed his deepest sympathies to the family.

"I was very disappointed to hear today that she has left us so early in life. Her family did so much for her and supported her all the way through."
