Student Expo to take place at WIT Arena this Thursday

Over a thousand students from across Waterford will descend on the WIT Arena this Thursday for 3rd annual Student Enterprise Expo.

Pupils from 15 different schools across the City and County will be showcasing their business ideas to the public at the event, which is being hosted by the Local Enterprise Office.

100 businesses created by transition year students from Ring, Lismore, Dungarvan, Tramore and Waterford City will be represented at this bigger and better Waterford Student Enterprise Expo..

Richie Walsh of the Local Enterprise Office commented on the importance of the event, "The Expo gives the students a wonderful opportunity to experience interacting with the public and communicating their ideas."

"We at the Local Enterprise Office in Waterford would like to invite everyone along to this FREE event on the morning of Thursday January 25th in the W.I.T. Arena. Every corner of the county will be represented, so we hope there will be lots of visitors from all over Waterford."

WLR fm's Eamon Keane will be broadcasting Deise Today live from Carriganore, with the Expo kicking off at 9.00am.
