New era for Kelly’s on The Quay as Ian Doolan returns to the family business

Ian Doolan is set to return to manage the iconic family business Kelly’s The Quay, Waterford on the 1st February 2018.

Kelly's The Quay was established by William Kelly & his French wife Catherine de la Mark as a haberdashery and millinery service in the city in 1847. In 2013, Ian took a sabbatical from the business and organised to rent the premises to David O’Dwyer Shoelink Irl Ltd. From February by mutual agreement, the business will transfer back to Mr Doolan.

Commenting on his return to the family business Ian says, “Clothing and the fashion business is in my DNA. I am delighted to be returning to an operational role within the business again and we have some very exciting plans for the future at Kelly’s Waterford."

Ian is very much looking forward to working with the Kelly’s team, the concessions and brands. Doreen Gribben will manage the store along with Ger Greene looking after the Benetton shop.
