Wes Hoolahan announces retirement from International football

Tributes are being paid to Wes Hoolahan, following the news of his decision to retire from International football.

The 35 year old Norwich attacker has made 43 appearances for the Republic of Ireland and scored a vital goal against Sweden at Euro 2016.

He is the second Irish players to end his international career since the World Cup play off defeat to Denmark, following in the footsteps of Daryl Murphy.
