Waterford Business Awards - Manufacturing and Industry

Waterford Business Awards - Manufacturing and Industry

On Friday, 23rd of February, the annual Waterford Business Awards will take place in Faithlegg House Hotel  in association with Waterford Chamber, WLR and Waterford City and County Council , celebrating the best in Waterford business across 10 categories. In each category, 3 local businesses are shortlisted, and every day on WLR in the lead up to the gala awards ceremony, we’ll be putting the spotlight on a different awards category:

Today it’s Manufacturing & Industry sponsored by W.I.T.  and the shortlist is:

DE BARRA COVERS

Having a love for the marine industry, Darryl Barry spotted a gap in the market for custom made boat covers, sails and materials, which inspired him to set up his own custom covers business in 2014. Producing a range of hand-made custom covers, sail shades, wind breakers, awnings, canopies and more from a variety of materials for the commercial and private industry, early 2017 brought the need to open their manufacturing facility on the Park Road. Having vastly expanded over the last number of years, clients now include CHC Helicopters, Waterford Fire Service, New Ross Boat Yard, Waterford Council.
