Oireachtas members meet with Health Minister on cardiac services at UHW.

Constructive discussions have been held with the Minister for Health over the future of cardiac services at University Hospital Waterford.

That's according to Sinn Fein TD David Cullinane, who was one of a number of regional Oireachtas members to meet with Simon Harris in Dublin yesterday.

Over 2,000 people took part in a march in Waterford City on Saturday calling on the government to implement round the clock interventional care at UHW.

Deputy Cullinane told WLR News that there may be additional facilities opened at UHW while the national review is underway.

He says that the public will be able to make submissions on the issue.

David Cullinane says the Minister has committed to making investment if the national review is favourable.
