Update from the HSE’s South East Crisis Management Team

In light of the weather warnings and associated precautions advised (including in relation to staying indoors and non essential travel applicable between 4pm on Thursday 1st March through to Friday afternoon 2nd March), only essential public services will operate on Thursday and Friday in counties Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford.

We will prioritise critical services and other services will not operate over those two days. All non essential services/buildings will be closed.

The Emergency Departments at University Hospital Waterford, Wexford General Hospital, St. Luke’s General Hospital Carlow/Kilkenny and South Tipperary General Hospital and residential care centres in counties Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford will remain be operating as usual.

Each area has a nominated transport co-ordinator and requests to support patients and staff will be processed in line with the arrangements in place.

The South East Community Healthcare, the South/South West Hospital Group, the Ireland East Hospital Group and the National Ambulance Service would like to thank patients/clients and their families, our own staff and the general public for their support and perseverance at this time of ensuring safety and contingency.
