UPDATE: One objector pulls out day before oral hearing on the North Quays

WLR understands there is now just one objector remaining to the redevelopment of the North Quays.

An Bord Pleanála's oral hearing examining the project will get underway in Treacy's Hotel in Waterford City tomorrow morning.

There were previously two valid objections to the proposal to the project.

The purpose of the hearing is to allow the Board through the report of the appointed senior planning inspector fully understand the application and objections.

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions or seek clarification on submissions made at the hearing.

On completion the inspector will prepare a report and recommendation and the decision to grant or refuse
permission will be made by the Board.

The objector submission will be heard tomorrow afternoon.

It's currently not known how long the oral hearing will take.
