Waterford hurlers face Cork at minor and senior level this afternoon

The curtain comes down on a disappointing Munster Senior Championship campaign when the Waterford hurlers face Cork in Semple Stadium this afternoon.

It is a big day however for the Minors who face Cork in the curtain raiser in what is potentially a Munster semi-final.

Gary Morahan's charges have displayed great heart in their come-from-behind victories over Tipperary and Limerick in recent weeks. A win this afternoon will guarantee them a place in the July 1st decider.

Tom Gallagher is the only change for the Deise, he comes in in place of Chris Kavanagh.

Throw-in for the minor game is at 12pm.

This afternoon's senior game is all about Michael 'Brick' Walsh as he prepares to make his record-breaking 74th appearance in a Deise jersey.

There's six changes to the side that lost out to Limerick last weekend.

Ian O'Regan, Ian Kenny, Colin Dunford, Jake Dillon, Brian O'Halloran and Thomas Ryan are all included in Derek McGrath's starting fifteen.

While there's little to play for from a Waterford perspective, a win for the Rebels would see them book their place in the provincial decider and their bid for back-to-back titles would be very much alive.

The action in Semple Stadium throws in at 2pm.

WLR will broadcast live thanks to George Corbett Skoda with commentary team Kieran O'Connor and Fergal Hartley with coverage starting at 1:45pm.
