Waterford FC claim victory on the road to Sligo Rovers

Waterford FC recorded their second victory in in Showgrounds this season when they defeated Sligo Rovers last night.

Stanley Aborah gave 'The Blues' the lead after only 4 minutes, with John Martin doubling their advantage after 19 minutes.

The home side responded and goals from Adam Wixted and Sean Sharkey before the half hour mark.

Bastien Héry scored what proved to be the winning goal on 33 minutes

The second half was equally as dramatic but neither side could find the net again.

The outcome in Sligo means the the Blues are now seven points clear of 4th placed Shamrock Rovers and remain hot favourites to qualify to European football next season.
