Blues aiming to return to winning ways in vital encounter away to Limerick this evening

Waterford FC FC central defender David Webster says the team are determined to get back to winning ways when they play Limerick in the Market's Field this evening.

Waterford face the Shannonsiders in what's being billed as a crucial game in the Airtricity League Premier Division.

The Blues won the first meeting of the club's there in March but Limerick defeated Waterford 6-3 in a bizarre match at the RSC in May.

Following a narrow home defeat against Shamrock Rovers last Sunday, Waterford lie four points clear in 3rd position.

Dave Webster told WLR Sport an immediate bounce-back is vital.

Dave says the last meeting between the sides at the RSC was quite bizarre.

Dave says the squad are now entering a critical stage of the season.

The action is underway at 7:45pm, Matt Keane will keep us updated across the evening here on WLR.

Elsewhere in the top flight tonight, with Dundalk not returning to domestic action until Sunday, Cork City can go top of the table.

The 'under new ownership' signs are up at the Carlisle Grounds as John Caulfield's side make the trip to Bray.

Meanwhile, Derry City will look to put their Cork pasting behind them when they welcome St. Pat's to the Brandywell.

Shamrock Rovers continue their push for European football when Sligo Rovers visit Tallaght.
