Fault in Tramore area leaves more than 1,600 without power

ESB networks say it will take some time to fix a fault in the Tramore area of Waterford.

Close to 1,700 customers were left without electricity following a fault with a high tension cable earlier.

Crews isolated the fault and restored power to 1,600 homes and businesses.

However, the remaining 93 customers will be without electricity until around 11.00pm tonight.

ESB Networks have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
