By Heck - A Toast to the 1920's

Des Griffin, Chairman of Waterford Civic Trust and a Director of the trust, Eugene Broderick joined Geoff on today's show to chat about Frankie Gavin, Martin Murray, Emma Corbett and Carl Hession's launch of their new CD ‘By Heck’, a tribute to the 1920’s music of the Flanagan Brothers from Waterford.

The launch and concert will take place on Thursday 16th of August at 8.30pm in Waterford City Hall. Tickets can be purchased from John Palmer's in Waterford City, Ben O’Neill’s in Dungarvan and from Martin Murray in Carrick on Suir for €20.

The The Cork Airport Birthday Call

November was today's birthday month and Margot Derwin from Moincoon tried her luck for the €500.

Her luck wasn’t in unfortunately as her birthday, November 5th didn’t match Geoff’s date of November 23rd.

The Time Tunnel

On today’s Time Tunnel, Geoff looked back on the years 1970,1982, 1999 and 2004. Dry Your Eyes by The Streets was the heartbreak anthem of 2004. It was also number 1 for 3 weeks.
