A review into the operations of Waterford Airport is now being considered by Transport Minister Shane Ross.
Business advisory group, EY, began the review in May to assess the future of the Airport which has been without a commercial carrier
for the last two years.
A planning application is due to be submitted to extend the runway to 2,200 metres to assist in attracting a carrier.
It has not been received by Waterford Council yet.
Investors are providing 5 million euro, while local authorities have pledged 2 million.

the airport is assisted in its efforts to encourage carriers
