Dungarvan qualify for last eight of Co. Senior hurling Championship following nail biting win over Lismore

In the county senior hurling championship, extra time goals from Gavin Power and Aaron Donnelly gave Dungarvan a 2-23 to 2-20 win over Lismore at Fraher Field last night.

The Blues led by eleven points to seven at the break but second half strikes from Ray Barry and Maurice Shanahan left the teams all square at the end of the sixty minutes (0-20 to 2-14).

Lismore enjoyed a two point advantage in extra time before Power and Donnelly raised green flags to turn the game in Dungarvan's favour.

The Blues will meet Passage in a repeat of last year's quarter final pairing.

Derek told WLR Sport, the younger charges really stepped up to the plate.
