The Waterford Camogie Team has been named the overall 2011 WLR FM Granville Hotel GAA Award winners. 10 monthly award winners were in contention for the prize which includes a sunshine holiday worth over a thousand euro.Former hurler of the year and Clare forward Jamesie O' Connor was on hand to make the announcement.The GAA award rounds off a year to remember for the Waterford Camogie Team.In April the side won the Division 2 league title, and in September they topped it all off securing the coveted All Ireland Junior Championship when they beat Down by a point at Croke Park. Karen Kelly says they were delighted to win the award.
