They are running a “Drop-in Auricular Acupuncture Clinic” free of charge to students every Wednesday night from 6.30 pm – 7.00pm until the exams are finished. The clinic will fit very discrete stress beads to the back of each ear, a proven acupuncture technique to help relieve stress, no needles involved.

The Manor Street Community Youth Project is looking for new and enthusiastic volunteers to help lead groups and activities for young people aged between 9 and 21 years of age living in the inner city of Waterford. In particular they are seeking adults over 18 years of age who have a positive attitude towards young people and would like support their positive development. No experience is necessary as training and ongoing support will be provided. Also, they urgently need volunteers for both primary and secondary homework groups to help provide a welcoming and supported study space. Mondays and Thursdays 3- 4.30pm for primary and Tuesdays and Thursdays 4.30-6pm for secondary. A volunteer with good basic Irish would be greatly appreciated also.

Moving On Overcoming Depression (MOOD) is a voluntary organisation which holds support group meetings throughout the Southeast Region. The groups are facilitated by trained volunteers who are experienced in dealing with those affected by depression.
