WLRfm broadcasts 24 hours a day from state of the art studios in both Waterford City and Dungarvan. Transmitters sited in the East and West of Waterford give crystal clear reception throughout the South East. A potential audience of 170,000 live in an area that includes: Waterford City and County, South Kilkenny, South Tipperary and East Cork.

At the core of WLRfm's broadcast area is the revitalised City of Waterford. Dungarvan is a bustling market town in the west of the county and Tramore, Dunmore East ,Lismore, Ardmore are seaside towns popular with tourists.
