I recall Ned Power cycling back to Tallow on a Sunday evening from Dungarvan. He was still playing for Dungarvan then mainly as a football keeper. I think Johnny Quarry was the first choice hurling keeper for the club before departing for the USA. Ned was a very unassuming fellow and a true gentelman. Even then he had time for the younger generation. Condolence to his family.May he rest in peace.
