Construction of the Applemarket 'roof' begins this Monday

Construction of the Applemarket 'roof' begins this Monday
A major construction project is to begin in Waterford City Centre this week, with the erection of a roof over the Applemarket.

The development is a cornerstone of the local authorities' urban renewal project and works are expected to continue up to Easter.

Access through the Applemarket will be limited, with traffic diversions in operation from 7am to 7pm, until Friday of this week.

Motorists will be able to access the New Street Cark Park via Barrack Street, with traffic flows on New Street altered to a two-way system.

Spring Garden Alley can only be accessed via Colbeck Street from Henrietta Street.
