The old Diageo Guinness plant was taken over by Mark Reynier in 2014 and in December 2015 whiskey was made in Waterford for the first time in over 200 years.

The product will not be for sale for at least another three or four years.

Irish whiskey is experiencing phenomenal growth in the US.

The Irish Whiskey Association also says sales have increased by 776 percent over the last 14 years, making it America's fastest growing spirit.
