6 new acts added to Forbidden Fruit line-up

6 new acts added to Forbidden Fruit line-up

Forbidden Fruit is back for its seventh installment on the stunning grounds of the Irish Museum Of Modern Art at The Royal Hospital Kilmainham in the heart of Dublin City Centre. With three incredible headline artists already announced, tickets are moving fast for this unique 3 day festival that combines music, spoken word, art, fashion, food and simple good vibes.

Berlin house legends Booka Shade have also been added to the line up. Their brand new single Babylon is out now, and their eagerly awaited forthcoming record Galvany Street is due for release on 7th April.

Grammy nominated trio Tycho will be bringing their ambient, psychedelic, post-rock electronica sounds to the grounds of Kilmainham for their first Irish show since 2014.

Following his standout performance at Metropolis Festival, Dutch DJ and producer Bas Bron (AKA Fatima Yamaha) returns to Dublin for a set you won’t want to miss!

We’re also excited to bring you English DJ, record producer, singer, songwriter and remixer Jax Jones for his debut Irish festival performance. Jax has been riding high on the Irish charts with his single You Don’t Know Me featuring Raye. The track has been storming the charts worldwide - with it recently being the third most Shazamed tune on the planet!

UK indie electronic purveyors Hot Chip will be bringing you a DJ set to remember, with a stash of brilliant tunes guaranteed to please.

British electronic music duo Snakehips, who supported Major Lazer on their European Tour this summer will also play Forbidden Fruit. They produced one of hottest  tracks of their career to date - a collaboration with Tinashe and Chance the Rapper. All My Friends evokes the spirit of future-facing hip-hop and R&B, with both the sultry vocals of Tinashe and witty, quick-fire wordplay of Chance The Rapper lacing Snakehips’ punchy, dreamscape-like beat with both power and purpose.

All this AND 3 amazing headliners who've already been announced; Orbital announced in February that they would reform and will be bringing their show to us at Forbidden Fruit on Saturday; Enfant terrible of contemporary electronic music, Aphex Twin, will undoubtedly be putting on a masterclass of electronic music across genres when he takes to the stage on Sunday; Monday will be headlined by Bon Iver, with Justin Vernon curating the entire line up for the evening.
