This week, you can...

The Marquee, erected in the Showgrounds of Cork City, which has already welcomed Don Henley, Jay Z, Al Green, Lou Reed, Lady Gaga, Sting, Kanye West and Neil Young to name a very small few, has proven to be one of Ireland's favourite venues:

Deirdre Kelly  5 stars! I went to see Don Henley on 29th July 2016 at the Marquee. It was my first time there and I was thoroughly impressed. The staff were friendly, the venue was excellent and the show was magnificent. Don really rocked and his adoring fans lapped up every bit of it. It was an unforgettable night.

Denis O'Dowd  5 stars! It was my first time at the Marquee and have to say it was awesome - easy parking, food, beer and perfect sized crowd ... for anyone thinking of it... GO GO GO...

Oh and the Pixies weren't bad either!!! :)

Mandy Chambers  5 stars! Despite some of the criticisms I have heard about this venue, I absolutely adored it. Very quirky and atmospheric with plentiful, clean portaloos and reasonably priced beer with barely a queue.

Promoter Peter Aiken admitted that Live at the Marquee continues to surprise since its debut well over a decade ago:

Back in 2005 when we put our toes in the water to see what would happen, who would have thought it would still be going strong after more than a decade, but it’s very different to a gig in a stadium where the atmosphere can be quite staid - a marquee creates a far better atmosphere.”

This year's Live At The Marquee kicks off on Friday, 9th June with the first of two sold out Picture This gigs and runs until Friday, July 14th when Christy Moore will close the festival.
