Waterford ladies defeat Kerry in Munster Championship
Second half goals from Michelle Ryan and Roisin Tobin gave the Waterford ladies football team a 2-9 to 1-9 win in the first round of the Munster championship at a rainy Fraher Field.

Full forward Maria Delahunty finished with seven points (five from play) as the home side survived a late Kingdom rally to claim a famous victory.

Manager Pat Sullivan said that their hard work paid off, and he felt that Michelle Ryan's goal was a crucial score
