Suspended sentence for Waterford INLA member

A Waterford man has been given a four year suspended prison sentence for INLA membership at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin.

28 year old John O'Donoghue from Clonard Park in Ballybeg was convicted after a trial in January last year but sentencing was adjourned to allow the
court consider his behaviour.

The father of one had pleaded NOT GUILTY to membership of the INLA on June 18th 2007.

He was arrested after Gardaí found two replica firearms, duct tape, balaclavas and English car number plates in the attic of his former family home.
