Mark Phillips gave us his top tips for the weekend's racing while Nicola McGeady threw her eye over the weekend's sporting markets.

Lismore pair Jimmy O'Gorman and Paddy Pollard were our first guests on this week's  show as they reflected on their sporting lives that has seen both assume to high office in their chosen fields.


We had Brian Flannery, Frankie Ryan and Sean Cullinane in studio to look ahead to the opening round of the County senior hurling championship.


Waterford United made it three wins on the trot with a 2-0 win away to SD Galway, we heard from Blues manager Paul O'Brien.


Our club of the week was St Joseph's Football club, while Nicola McGeady and Mark Philips  gave us their top sporting selections for the weekend.

Paul O'Brien gave us his reaction to Waterford United's 1-0 win away to Limerick in the Airtricity league.

Noel Hunt spoke with Matt about Reading achieving promotion to the Premier league in England while John Stack filled us in on the upcoming Beir Bua Waterford adventure race on May 19th.


Our club of the week was the Waterford City Viqueens roller derby club while Gary O'Shea looked ahead to some key games in the Waterford Women's soccer league.

Brian McCormack popped in to tell us about his plans for the superbike championships while Mark Phillips and Leon Blanche gave us their top sporting tips for the weekend.


We also had a fabulous golf giveaway for four people to play the Kileen course in Killarney and enjoy a two night stay at the luxurious 4 star Randls Court hotel."

Kenneth Egan paid us a surprise visit as the Olympic silver medallist spoke about the Irish team's chances of claiming medals at this year's Olympics in London.
