De La Salle and Tallow finish level in Co. SHC

Tallow retained their senior status for 2018 as they held De La Salle to a draw at Fraher Field last night in round four of the county senior hurling championship.

John Mullane and Thomas Ryan traded goals as it finished 1-17 apiece.

Tallow led by three points with six minutes remaining but manager Johnny Geary was still happy with a share of the spoils

Johnny says he was pleased with how his charges stood up to the mark

Tallow lost their first round game to Ballygunner by 29 points but Geary says that their young players have grown in stature.

Dungarvan qualified for the last eight with a comfortable 2-27 to 1-11 win over fourteen man Ballyduff Upper.

The Curran brothers scored 2-22 between them with Patrick leading the way on 2-10.

Manager Derek Lyons was pleased with how they responded to an early goal from Michael Kearney
