Simon Harris says comments from Bishop Phonsie Cullinan were unhelpful and pathetic.

Simon Harris has warned 'the people to give medical advice are doctors and not bishops'.

The Health Minister is urging people not to listen to people who aren't professionally qualified when it comes to the HPV vaccine.

He was responding to Waterford Bishop, Phonsie Cullinan, who said the cervical cancer vaccine encourages schoolgirls to engage in risky sexual behaviour.

The Bishop claimed the Gardasil vaccine had created a false sense of security and was only 70 percent safe.
