31 people are waiting on trolleys for admission to University Hospital Waterford today.
The hospital has advised that is still experiencing significant overcrowding for the second day running.
No reason has been offered for this, but UHW is asking people to avoid attending the Emergency Department, except in cases of genuine emergency.
It says it wants to reassure people that patients are being seen, treated and cared for appropriately.
