A number of schools in Waterford will remain closed today (Wednesday 18th Oct) but St Mary's Touraneena now open

St Mary's National School Toureneena is now to open today Wednesday, as the electricity has now returned.
Parents and students of Ballymacarbry National School are advised that the building will remain closed today (Wednesday) after damage was done to the school's roof during Monday's storms.
Authorities have been notified and the damage is being assessed.
The school board will update parents and students by 3 o'clock today.
Scoil Mhuire, Butlerstown and Gaelscoil Phort Lairge in Ballygunner currently have no electricity and will also remain closed today (Wed) following advice from Electric Ireland.
Passage East N.S will also remain closed today, due to a lack of power in the school, as well as Crooke National School and Crooke Playschool, for similar reasons.
Kilbrien National School will remain closed today Wednesday due to electricity and water issues caused by the storm. Parents will be updated by the school later today.
