A man who was arrested following an alleged assault on a paramedic team on the grounds of University Hospital Waterford has been released without charge.
A file has been prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The incident happened some time after 9 o'clock on Wednesday night, when an ambulance crew responded to a call out in Waterford City.
The patient allegedly became aggressive in transit and assaulted both paramedics on board the vehicle.

Neither were seriously injured in the incident.
