Radio broadcasting certificates awarded at WIT conferring ceremony

Conferrings continue today as more students receive their parchments at Waterford Institute of Technology.

Over two and a half thousand students will have received academic awards by the end of today.

854 of these graduates hail from Waterford City and County.

Last night those who completed the broadcast course in association with WLR (pictured) were presented with their certificates by WIT president Willie Donnelly.

Dr. Helen Murphy, Head of the School of Life-long Learning and Education at WIT says there are numerous part time courses on offer.

"We have regular part-time programmes across the six schools in WIT - Business, Science, Health Sciences, Engineering, Lifelong learning and Education".

WIT also run the Government's free Springboard programmes.
